How to use the -i- icon on your Apple Watch

There are many « i » symbols used in using the Apple Watch. The first is used for the manual pairing process, while the other icons provide more information.

Where is the “i” symbol ?

The first « i » icon is found on the Apple Watch’s initial setup screen at the bottom right of the screen for an unpaired Watch. If you later need to re-pair your  Watch with your iPhone.

How to unpair Apple Watch using the « i » code?

You can unpair your Watch from your iPhone at any time easily by using the « i » icon, but in this case, you’ll find it in the Watch app on your iPhone instead of your Watch.

• Launch the Watch app on your iPhone.
• On the “ My Watch ” tab, click on “ All Watches ” at the top of the page.
• Next, you’ll see a list of devices (or on most phones, only a single device option will appear), then tap the watch you want to unpair.
• Then tap on the “i” icon to the right of the selected hour.
• Tap on Unpair Apple Watch and then confirm that you want to do so.

Re-pair your Apple Watch using the « i » icon?

If you need to pair or re-pair your Apple Watch with your phone.

you can manually start the process using the « i » icon on the watch itself:

• Place the unpaired Watch on your wrist.
• Then tap on the “i” icon at the bottom right and then select your language.
• Then, press Start Pairing .
• After you hit start pairing, you’ll see an animation that you can use to pair your Apple Watch automatically, but if you prefer to do it manually, tap the « i » icon in the bottom right.
• On your iPhone, start the Watch app, then tap Start Pairing .
• With your Watch in the Frame page, you can point the animation on the watch in the frame on the page.
  • If that doesn’t work or you prefer to do it manually, tap Pair manually and select the name of the watch from a list on the page.
